Batam Prime FC Wins BIFS 2026 After Defeating Garudayaksa

Citramas Batam Stadium,Batam Prime FC emerged as the champion of the Batam International Football Series (BIFS) 2026 after defeating Garudayaksa
Jakarta 3–2 in the final match at Gelora Citra Mas Stadium, Batam, on Sunday (23 August 2026).
Held from 22–23 August 2026, the tournament brought together teams from Indonesia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. The participation of teams from these countries also provided
a platform to strengthen connections and foster closer ties among football communities across Southeast Asia.
Beyond the competition on the field, the Batam International Football Series 2026 also carried a mission to promote the development of local football and strengthen Batam’s
position as a sport tourism destination.
“This tournament is expected to serve as a catalyst for the revival of football in Batam. Hopefully, more teams from ASEAN countries will participate next year,” said Fary Djemi
Francis, Chairman of the Batam Prime Board of Trustees, in a press statement.
Batam Prime Head Coach Okto Maniani welcomed the championship with great emotion. He said the trophy was the result of a long process involving hard training, discipline, and the
commitment of all the players.
“This championship is the result of hard work, high discipline, and the commitment shown by the players since the beginning of preparations. This is a victory for the entire Batam
community,” said Okto.
Batam Prime’s success is expected to mark the beginning of the development of larger international football competitions in Batam. With support for sports development,
infrastructure, and the involvement of international clubs, Batam’s sport tourism sector has the potential to grow further and strengthen the city’s position as one of the
leading sports destinations in the ASEAN region.
“Congratulations to the players, coaches, medical team, and officials of Batam Prime who have brought pride to Batam. Hopefully, this gold-medal achievement will inspire other sports to continue producing champions,” said BP Batam Director of Investment Dandi Kustinandar.
